- History / Biographical
- The Jewish Singles Association was founded in the 70s to offer activities for Jewish singles to meet other unmarried people in the community. This early group was a precursor to the numerous organizations that were founded in 1980s to combat the problems of interfaith marriage and out-migration from Quebec. Organized activities included dances, dining out, country excursions, cooking groups and lectures on topics such as income tax, divorce and sex therapy.
