Notice biographique / histoire administrative	Edmund Scheuer was born in Prussia in 1847. He was a Justice of the Peace in York County in 1905; he was a wholesale jeweller from 1880; he opened first Jewish religious school in Hamilton, 1872; helped acquire land for a Jewish farm school in Georgetown, Ontario, 1925. He died in Toronto in 1943.
