He is the editor of the newspaper MUI ("Us"), which employs a large percentage of Jews, although its philosophy tends to be anti-Zionist and, in some perceptions, antisemitic

- Efim Galperin was born 1934 in Kharkov, Ukraine, and moved to Chelyabinsk during the war, where his father, Aharon, was the head of a diesel motor factory. Twenty years later, Efim Galperin came to Moscow, where he was director of a laboratory of academic sciences. In 1974, he came to Montreal at the invitation of McGill University and Concordia University's department of mathematics. He has since taught at Université de Montréal and the Université du Québec à Montréal as well. He is now with mathematics faculty of the University du Quebec à Montréal. He organized Russian events at the YM-YWHA years ago, before Anna Rubalska

- Irina Lapina was born in Samarkand, Uzbekistan in 1956. She attended Moscow State University in Geography, taught geography and pedagogical theory in Russia. She came to Canada in 1997. Now writes for Russian press, translates English-Russian for the community, reviews festival films. Is writing a book about her first years in Canada.
