Inscription on verso of copy donated by Gerry Dover reads: "Ottawa, May 12th, 1907. Rideau St. Hebrew School [a precurser of the Ottawa Talmud Torah]. Mike & David [Dover] in back row third and fourth from left." In addition, Mr. Joseph Lieff identified the teacher on the right as a young Eli Slonemsky on June 2, 2003. This photograph was taken before the Talmud Torah Board was formed and Mr. Joseph Lieff feels this may be Adath Jeshurun because of the Dovers and Slonemsky were associated with that shul.
