Notes
Lici was laughing in this photograph as she could not believe that this was happening in the 20th century. Days later she lost her parents and her sister in Auschwitz. She was taken to a holding camp enroute to Auschwitz but her husband Erwin saved her with the help of Raul Wallenberg.
