On January 9, 2015, Leon Katz, beloved husband of Ruth Gottlieb Katz, cherished father of Michael (Cynthia), Geoffrey, Floralove, Shelley (Diana); grandfather of David, Nathan, Aidan, Benjamin; beloved brother, uncle, friend. Bio-medical engineer; pioneering inventor of numerous medical devices. At Health Canada, Katz developed legislation in respect of medical device safety and effectiveness. Service to be held on Sunday, January 11, 2015 at 12:00 at Jewish Memorial Gardens Chapel at 1771 Cuba Avenue, Ottawa, K1G 1L9. In recognition of Katz's dedication to growth and development, donations may be made in his honour to the Jewish National Fund of Canada, Ottawa.

Inscription on verso states that Harry Cherm lived not far away from Charles Levine's tailor shop and that he had a grocery store. It also mentioned that the Baker family lived in the area and that they were grocers as well.
