White cardstock card painted in black. Stamped with red and purple ink stamps, signed in black and blue inks on the front, two paper membership fees stamps for 1946 are glued at the back, one red and one blue. Paper stamps have a hammer and a feather in a circle design. This is a membership card for Jiri Novak as a member of the Czech National Socialist party.

Stamped on the inside left panel with a circular red seal of the Czechoslovak Association, Shanghai. Photograph was once present at t.l. but has been removed.

Pink paper glued on red cardstock, with b&w idnetifty photograph of cardholder stapled on verso ladt hand side. Purple circular stamp on bottom of the photograph.Sports club membership card from the N.V. Sportfondesenback Antwerpen for Zigmund Schick, valid until December 31st, 1945. Narrative: Zigmund (Sigmund) Schick was born on November 26, 1920 in Somotor, Slovakia (then Czechoslovakia). At age 7, his family moved to Antwerp, Belgium. Zigmund became a plumber. On July 18, 1942 he is sent along with 300 other Jews from Antwerp to the “Judenlager” of Les Mazures near the French city of Charleville-Mézières. On October 24, 1942 he is deported on transport 15 from Malines to Auschwitz where he arrives on October 26, 1942. Zigmund was selected to forced labour and was given the proisoner number 70672. He was sent to Jawischowitz (Jawiszowice), a subcamp of Auschwitz where he probably worked in the coal mines. Following Jawischowitz, he was sent to another labour camp in Wroclaw (Breslau). Zigmund was part of a death march from Breslau to Gross Rosen which left between January 23 and 25, 1945. It is believed that Zigmund escaped the death march along with two other prisoners before being liberated by the Russian army on January 29, 1945. Zigmund was repatriated to Belgium on May 3, 1945. He immigrated to Canada in 1951 along with his wife and their son.

1 vertical fold. The inside, and the back have a chart with twelve boxes, one for each month of the year, there are three stamps on the chart on the inside. There is also an additional rectangular stamp on the inside. Membership card issued to Otto Bondy from the agricultural cooperative/society for immigration to Canada. Card was valid from 1939 and 1940. It was paid up until August, 1939. Narrative: the card belonged to donor's father. Donor believes that his father tried to get visas in different countries, including Canada. Otto Bondy was born in Wien, Austria in 1897. He was a leather manufacturer and married to Margarethe nee Fischer. the Bondy family left Austria the day after the annexion by the German Reich and found refuge in Belgium. During the war, Otto and Margarethe were sent to Malines transit camp and deported with Transport XXII A to Auschwitz Birkenau, Extermination Camp, Poland on 1943-09-20. They were both killed in Auschwitz. thei two children survived in hiding.

Double-sided, with perforations along the left edge. Narrative: Bertram Ellison (donor's uncle) was born on March 19 1909 in Montreal. He was born into a Jewish family, and was an insurance broker before the war. He joined the Canadian Army on June 5th 1941 as a 2nd Lieutenant. Between 1941 and 1945 he rose to the rank of major, and received 6 medals, including the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire which he received on December 18t 1945. He was part of the 21st Army Group, which was formed on July 9th 1943 by the 2nd British and 1st Canadian Army for a North Western European Invasion. While apart of the 21st Army Group, he saw Bergen-Belsen. Bertram Ellison sailed home on the RMS Queen Elisabeth on December 3rd – 9th 1945.
