OBITUARIES: Telegraph Journal, March 6, 1947 BASSEN—At the Saint John General Hospital on March 5, 1947, Max Bassen of this city, survived by one son, one sister, three brothers and several nieces and nephews. Resting at Chamberlain’s Funeral Home, 145 King Street East, from where the funeral will be held on Thursday at 2:30 o’clock. Interment will be in the Shaarei Zedek Cemetery. Gravestone reference code(s): JM 998.61.126. Memorial plaque in synagogue: Abraham E. Smith - C3.
