27th Canadian Armoured (Sherbrooke Fusiliers) Regiment
Trooper David Gelman of Ste. Sophie de Lacorne, Terrebonne County, Quebec, was killed in Caen, France. Enlisting with the Royal Canadian Engineers in 1941, Trooper Gelman transferred to the Sherbrooke Fusiliers and trained at Camp Borden. He proceeded overseas to England and then to France. He was born in Jasi, Romania.
