History / Biographical
Bess Greenberg (nee Schecter) (b. 1905 - d. November 25, 2006) was married to Moses Greenberg (b. 1901, Russia - d. November 1947), a well known grocer in Billings Bridge. Bess and Moses settled in Ottawa where they had three children, Laya (m. Sol Shabinsky), Syrille (m. Paul Rosman), and Elissa (m.Avraham Iny). Bess and Moses Greenberg were active in the Ottawa Jewish community. Moses was a member of the Ottawa Free Loan Society and the Ottawa chapter of B'nai B'rith.
