Manuscript is held in a handmade storage box, made from pieces of cardboard and held together with red fabric tape, 2 pieces per side. Blue text is found on the top of the box (see inscription); handwritten on the horizontal axis.

The front of the picture shows a couple hugging each other under a tree. She lies her head on his shoulder. Narrative: This postcard was written by Bernhard Kissman (Donor's father) to his fiancee Fritzi Winter (Donor's mother) who lived at that time with her parents in Tescheutz, Bukowina. They got married in July 1913. Bernhard Kissman worked at various places in forestry. Postcards between them were written daily, often a letter followed.

Cover is beige with black and blue text. 2 Stars of David are printed at the top corners with 2 stones (with text printed inside) in between them, which are surrounded by leaves; at the bottom corners are 2 green and black palm trees. The back cover has black text in list form. At the bottom of the spine is some handwritten text in black. Interior pages are beige with text, b&w illustrations, photos and maps. Narrative: This book has been used in Peretz school in Lodz, 1945. It was brought from Poland to Canada in 1958.
