- Jean Goldstick Slone was born in Latvia, 1896, the youngest daughter of Wolf Goldstick and Sarah Kahn. She emigrated to Toronto, Canada in 1904. In 1919 she obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toronto. In 1921 she married Dr. Abram Slone, the oldest son of Eliyahu Slonemsky and Chiah Rifka, of Ottawa. They had two sons, Morton (b.1922) (m. Phyllis Gold) and Joel (b.1925) (m. Norma Herman). Jean Goldstick died in Ottawa in 1984. Jean Goldstick played the piano as a young girl.
