History / Biographical
Born in 1918 in Quebec City, Monty Berger has spent most of his life in Montreal. He obtained a B.A. from McGill University, and went to the Graduate School of Journalism, Columbia University. He owned a public relations management company, was President of the Canadian Public Relations Society, Director of the Public Relations Society of America, and was President of the Quebec Chapter of the Canadian Industrial Editors Association. He served in World War II in the RCAF. He was a co-founder and Past President of Congregation Beth El, Town of Mount Royal, was a committee member and Past President of Allied Jewish Community Services, and a member of various Canadian Jewish Congress committees. Monty Berger died November 27, 2006
