Private David Goldsmith of Toronto, Ontario, was killed in action in France, according to an official report. Private Goldsmith enlisted in the army in 1941 and went overseas early in 1944. Two brothers were in the service: Signalman Sidney Goldsmith, R.C.C.S., and Private Jack Goldsmith, Canadian Army.
