- The Franz Kafka collection was created to make available the series of photographs used for the March 1994 exhibit entitled "Franz Kafka and his Prague." The exhibit commemorated the seventieth anniversary of Czech writer Franz Kafka's death. The exhibit calls attention to Kafka's relationship with his native city, Prague, city of "strange men and visionaries the impatient heart of Central Europe."
