OBITUARIES: Saint John Globe, October 15, 1918 Joseph Brager died on Saturday at the residence of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Brager , 343 Union Street, after a brief illness. He leaves, also, two brothers and two sisters. The funeral was held Sunday and the interment was made in the Jewish cemetery. Daily Telegraph Monday, October 14, 1918 JM 2003.50.18 'Joseph Brager dies of Spanish Grippe' The death of Joseph Brager occurred on Saturday at the residence of his parents, 343 Union Street, after a brief illness. About a week ago he contracted a severe cold which developed into influenza and pneumonia. Besides his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Brager, he leaves two brothers and two sisters all at home to mourn their loss. The funeral was held yesterday and interment was made in the Jewish Cemetery. OBITUARIES: Evening Times Globe, March 2, 1936 LAMPERT – At the Saint John General Hospital, on February 29, 1936, after a lingering illness, Wolfe Lampert, in his 71st year, leaving to mourn a loving wife, three daughters, six sons, two brothers, two sisters and seventeen grandchildren. The Evening Times Globe Monday, March 2, 1936 Wolfe Lampert, Ill Long Time, Dies After a lingering illness, Wolfe Lampert, 627 main Street, died Saturday night in the Saint John General Hospital. He was a native of Poland and came to this country six years ago. Residing in Saint John since then, he is survived by his wife, Mrs. Goldie Lampert, three daughters, Mrs. David Carleton, Miss Fruma Lampert, Saint John and Mrs. S. Shuster, Poland; six sons, Jacob, Max, Morris, Israel, Louis and Samuel, Saint John; two brothers, Roy, Boston and Harry in Poland; two sisters, Mrs. Rachael Karpatsky and mrs. P. Shuster, both of Poland and seventeen grandchildren. The funeral took place this afternoon at 3:00 from his late residence. The service was conducted by Rev. M. Beshkin and interment was in Fernhill Cemetery The Evening Times Globe Monday, March 2, 1936, page 14 Wolfe Lampert Rev. M. Beshkin officiated at the funeral of Wolfe Lampert, which was held this afternoon from his late residence, 627 Main Street. Friends acted as pallbearers and interment was made in Fernhill Cemetery. Mr. Shane had been in good health up till a short time ago, but about three weeks ago, became ill and passed away this morning.
