OBITUARIES: Telegraph Journal, May 6, 2006 HOLTZMAN, ADA - The death of Ada Holtzman of Rocmaura Nursing Home, Saint John, occurred on Wednesday, May 3, 2006 at her residence. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Born in Saint John on October 29, 1909, she was the daughter of the late Nathan and Bessie (Yabeck) Holtzman. Ada worked for Metropolitan Life for over 40 years, retiring in 1965 as Office Manager. She lived in Saint John her entire life and was a member of Congregation Shaarei Zedek, the Sisterhood of Shaarei Zedek and a member of the Hadassah-Wizo. She is survived by three nephews, Norman, Gary and Frank Holtzman and two nieces, Marilyn Krantz and The Honourable Myra Freeman. She was predeceased by four brothers, Moe, Harry, Jack and Abe amd two sisters, Ethel and Jean. Funeral service will be held at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home Chapel, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) on Sunday, May 7, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. Interment in the Shaarei Zedek Cemetery.
