- OBITUARIES: Telegraph Journal, October 4, 1955 Block – At the Service Nursing Home, Amherst, N.S. on October 4, 1955, Mrs. Rose Block, widow of Israel Block, and daughter of the late David and Sarah Baig, survived by four sons, one daughter, one brother, three grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral was held on Wednesday afternoon from O’Neils Funeral Home, 669 Main Street with service. Interment was in Shaarei Zedek Cemetery. Gravestone reference code(s): JM 998.61.120.
