- OBITUARIES: Telegraph Journal, January 23, 1946 Tanzman – At the residence of his daughter, Mrs. Ben Freedman, 29 Pitt Street, on Jan. 12, 1946, Jacob M. Tanzman, son of the late Abraham M. and Eva S. Tanzman, survived by two daughters, three sons, one sister, two brothers and five grandchildren. (Please omit flowers.) Resting at the Chamberlain’s Funeral Home, 145 King Street East, from where the funeral will be held today (Wednesday) at 2:30 p.m. Interment in the Shaarei Zedek Plot. The Evening Times Globe Wednesday, January 23, 1946 The largely attended funeral of Jacob M. Tanzman, who died on Tuesday, was held this afternoon at 2:30 o’clock from Chamberlain’s Funeral Home, 145 King Street East. The funeral service was conducted by Rabbi N. Bornstein and Rabbi A. Babb.
