- Annie Stein, born c. 1896, immigrated from Lithuania with her parents, older sister Satska, and younger brother Shea, to Montreal c. 1900. The Steins last name was originaly Lezevnick, but changed it to Stein upon immigration. She married Montreal-born tailor Abe Cohen c. 1914-15. Their marriage produced nine children: Sarah, Bernard, Paula (Bessie), Sylvia (Sophie), Freda, Marsha (Marcelyn), Yetta, Nessie, and Joel (Joey).
