- OBITUARIES: Saint John Globe, August 29, 1921 Mrs. Morris Cohen – The death of Rose Cohen, wife of Morris Cohen, took place on Sunday at her late residence, 46 High Street, after an illness which lasted seven months. The deceased was highly esteemed among a wide circle of friends and acquaintances. Besides her husband, there survive four sons and three daughters: Myer, Harry, Benjamin, Samuel, Bessie, Jennie, and Mary all of this city. There also survive the deceased parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Budovitch; a brother, Harry Budovitch; and a sister, Mrs. S. Levine, all of St. John. The funeral took place from her late residence, High Street this afternoon. Service was conducted by Rabbi Levine. Gravestone reference code(s): JM 998.61.379. - OBITUARIES: Evening Times Globe, April 3, 1941 Kunitzky – In this city on April 3, 1941 after a lingering illness, Fanny Kunitzky, of 10 Wentworth Street widow of Aaron Kunitzky, leaving to mourn two daughters, four sons and several grandchildren. Funeral from Chamberlain’s Funeral Parlours this Thursday afternoon at 3:30 o’clock. Interment in Hebrew plot in Fernhill cemetery. The Evening Times Globe Thursday, April 3, 1941 Mrs. Fanny Kunitzky Passed Away Today Many friends of Fanny Kunitzky, 10 Wentworth Street, will regret to learn of her death which occurred early this morning. The widow of Aaron Kunitzky, she was a daughter of the late Morris and Doris Liacouitsky of Poland. Mrs. Kunitzky who was highly esteemed member of the Hebrew congregation here, was born in Poland but had resided in this city for the last 19 years. In past years she was very active in all matters pertaining to the synagogue work. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. S. Cohen of this city, and Mrs. A. Baschel, New York; 4 sons, David and Benjamin of this city, and Samuel and Abraham, Montreal, and several grandchildren. The funeral was held this afternoon at 3:30 o’clock from Chamberlain’s Funeral Parlours, 145 King Street East where the service was conducted by Rabbi M. Beshkin and Rev. A. Babb.
