Swetsky - At the Saint John Regional Hospital on July 2, 1990, Hyman Sweksky of 55 Magazine Street, companion of Mrs. Sally Watts; survived by his companion, two sisters, Freda Appel of Ottawa, Ont., and Pearl Steinberg of Montreal, one brother Louis Swetsky of Fredericton; several nieces and nephews. Resting at the Castle Funeral Home (Hillsley), 91 Leinster Street, from where the funeral will be held Wednesday with service at 3 p.m. Interment in Shaarei Zedek Cemetery. Donations to the Canadian Hadassah-Wizo by calling Frances Babineau 648-9568 or to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Shiva will be observed at the home of Gladys and Lou Swetsky, 165 Kings College Road, Fredericton. The Evening Times Globe Tuesday, July 3, 1990 Hyman Swetsky of 55 Magazine Street, companion of Sally Watts, died at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Monday. Born in Saint John, he was a son of the late Benjamin and Sarah (Budovitch) Swetsky, He was a lifelong resident of Saint John and had worked as a retailer for many years. He was a member of the Shaarei Zedek Congregation. He was a member Shomer Club and a member of the ritual committee of the Shaarei Zedek Synagogue. Besides his companion, he is survived by two sisters, Freda Appel of Ottawa, Ont., and Pearl Steinberg of Montreal, Que.; one brother, Louis Swetsky of Fredericton; several nieces and nephews. The body is resting at Castle Funeral Home (Hillsley), 91 Leinster Street, from where the funeral will be held on Wednesday with service at 3 p.m. Interment in Shaarei Zedek Cemetery. Rabbi David Spiro of Fredericton officiated. Member of the Chevra Kadisha served as pallbearers. Donations were made to the Hadassah Wizo Organization; the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation; and to the United Way of Greater Saint Jon Inc., including one by the management and staff of Peat, Marwick, Thorne. OBITUARIES: Telegraph Journal, January 12, 1957 Swetsky – At her residence, 34 Adelaide Street, on January 11, 1959, Mrs. Sarah Swetsky, wife of Benjamin Swetsky and daughter of the late Joel and Pearl Budovitch, survived by her husband, two sons, two daughters, one brother, seven grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Funeral on Sunday afternoon from the vestry of the Shaarei Zedek Synagogue with at 2:30 p.m. Interment in Shaarei Zedek Cemetery. The Evening Times Globe Monday, January 14, 1957 The largely attended funeral of Mrs.Sarah Swetsky, 34 Adelaide Street was held on Sunday afternoon from the vestry of the Shaarei Zedek Synagogue with service conducted by Rabbi Dr. E.
