OBITUARIES: Telegraph Journal, May 13, 1948 Mrs. A. P. Goldman Dies in Hospital The death of Mrs. Rose Goldman, wife of A. Percy Goldman, 38 Wentworth St., will bring sorrow to a wide circle of friends in Saint John and in Glace Bay, N.S. Mrs. Goldman died yesterday morning at the Saint John General Hospital. She had been in falling health since February and seriously ill for three weeks. Mrs. Goldman was born in Glace Bay, a daughter of Bernard and Fannie Green. She had lived in Saint John since 1931, and was a member of the Hebrew Congregation, president of the Daughters of Israel, a member of the Women’s Hospital Aid, the Woman’s Canadian Club, the Women’s Morning Musical Club and the executive of the Local Council of Women. Surviving besides her husband and parents are one son Edwin Joel at home; a sister, Mrs. H. Tanebaum, Montreal; two brothers, Louis G. and Dr. Arthur Green, both of Glace Bay. The body rested at Chamberlain’s Funeral Home, 145 King Street East, from where the funeral was held yesterday at 4:30 o’clock. Interment was in Shaarei Zedek Cemetery.
