Notes: OBITUARIES: Telegraph Journal, March 23, 2002 The death of Mrs. Ruth (Gruber) Goldberg, wife of the late Abraham Goldberg, of Saint John, NB, occurred on Thursday, March 21, 2002 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Montreal, she was the daughter of the late Max and Fanny (Sofin) Gruber. She was a member of the Shaarei Zedek Synagogue and was Jewish by faith. She is survived by one daughter, Candace Goldberg of Saint John, one sister, Betty (Lewis) Silver of Montreal, one step-son, Dr. Benjamin (Judith) Goldberg of London, ON, on grandson, Hank Goldberg of saint John, and four step-grandchildren; Dr. Joel (Ilana) Goldberg, Mark (Susan) Goldberg, Brian (Jody) Goldberg, Adele (Andy) Pascoe, and 13 step-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents and her husband, Abraham. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 24, 2002 at 2:00 PM from Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home Chapel, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (506) 634-7424. The body is resting at the Castle Funeral Home (Hillsley), 91 Leinster Street, from where the funeral will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in the Shaarei Zedek Cemetery.
