200+ pages (exact number unknown). Hardcover, cardboard bound with string and fabric tape along the spine. The cover base is black with a blue marbled pattern, the corners have been reinforced with white -beige tape. A black tape is going vertically near the spine. The fabric tape along the spine is tourquoise, no text is found on the cover or spine. Interior pages are beige with text. Narrative: Afternoon and evening prayers and services according to the custom of the Sephardim of Djerba. Djerba was an island off the coast of Tunisia, that was inhabited solely by Kohanim (May the Lord protect it [sic]). The book was the property of M.M. Zeitoun of the city of Sfax. The book, printed in 1955 came from the publishing house of Chai Haddad (May the Lord protect and save him [sic]). The plates used are likely photographic copies of texts utilized in the 1800's.

Sewn illustration in silver and gold thread with traditional Sephardic designs of vines in each corner, with two birds, two trees, and text in the middle. Narrative: The text reads "L'menuchat habachur ha'aluv Chai Shemana niftar 25 Kislev 5685" meaning "To the eternal rest of the poor man Chai Shemana who died on the 25th day of Kislev, 5685 (December 6, 1927)". It is interesting to note that the 25th of Kislev is the first day of Chanukah.
