1 page, double-sided. On recto is a b&w indoor portrait of two young women. They flank a tree stump covered with a newspaper. Woman on left sits on a frame made of tree branches, her arm is bent with her hand held to her head and her elbow rests on the tree stump. She wears a coloured long-sleeved shirt tucked into a dark skirt. Woman on right stands, one arm bent behind her back and other arm bent with hand held to head and elbow on tree trunk. She wears a dark long-sleeved blouse tucked into a fitted high-waisted skirt. On verso, handwritten Yiddish text. Document is a postcard. Narrative: The donors parents were Meilach Magid and Yocheved Bejlach, both teachers. They came to Canada in 1921, returned to Poland, and then settled in Canada in 1924. Meilach graduated from McGill in 1929. He was the principal of United Talmud Torah School and later founded Herzliah High School in 1946.

Woman has short dark hair, holds baby on her lap. Baby wears a white dress and bonnet. On verso, handwritten Yiddish text. Document is a postcard.
