Dr. James works with teens mainly and speaks about how to recognize signs of addiction in teens. Marion Silver visits A Taste of Chocolate at the Chateau Laurier during Winterlude. She speaks with organizer Coral Thompson about the universal appeal of chocolate, especially during the winter, near Valentine's day. Marion interviews 'March of the Living' representative Marlene Cherun and participant Shelley Samel about the expectations and opportunities of the program. The program ends with footage of the Hillel Academy Choir performing at the Golden Age Club's Chanukah party.

Donna Goldman interviews Ottawa Citizen's Social Columnist Margo Roster about her work throughout the Jewish community and diplomatic community in Ottawa. Marion Silver interviews Ilia Garov, Foreign Affairs Analyst at the Ottawa Citizen about his experiences as a survivor of Nazi Germany. Donna Goldman reviews a photography exhibit at the JCC called "Survival of the Spirit - Jewish Lives in the Soviet Union". The exhibit documents the trip through Russia by Naomi Morris and Janice Rabin in 1987. Other non-related footage follows. October 1988 Program: After a break from programing, Donna Goldman and Marion Silver are back at Shalom Ottawa. They discuss a successful concert at the NAC with conductor Yitzak Pearlman. Next, Marion interviews National Arts Centre Maestro Gabriel Chmura. Donna interviews Winnepeg native Gerry Koffman who is the new Executive Director of the JCC. Sam Nueman covers coming events. November 1988 Program: Donna visits Lisa & Fred Cogan's home for the annual Israeli Brunch which raises funds for social services in Israel. Bernie Farber of the Canadian Jewish Congress discusses funding for Independent schools with Marion. Donna interviews WWII veteran Nat Edelstein about anti-Semitism before, during and after the war. His interview is cut off mid-sentence. The 50th anniversary of Kristallnacht at Parliament Hill is covered by Marion with footage of the ceremony and interviews with attendees Penny Bar-Noy, Jessica Strauss and Judge Rosalie Abella. 1989 (month unknown): Dr. Eli Rabin, Jewish Community Council President speaks with Marion about the budget and priorities process and current emphasis on the care and services to the elderly. Rachel Goldman speaks briefly about summer camp. Marion visits the JCC's summer day camp at Agudath Israel and speaks with teacher Cynthia Powell about the program. Coverage of Chaim Herzog's visit to Rideau Hall in June 1989 ends the program. March 1989 Program: Marion interviews CBC radio host Otto Lowy upon his visit to Ottawa from Vancouver. Lawrence Greenspon, organizer of an exhibit at the National Library is interviewed by Donna Goldman. Close-ups of photographs from "The Jews of Kaifing - Chinese Jews on the Banks of the Yellow River" are shown. Marion visits the "Small Wonders Puppet Theatre Group" and speaks with the Director, Yaacov Horowitz. Steve Goldman, the new head coach of the Ottawa Roughriders is cut off mid-sentence in a studio segment. Rabbi Arnold Fine and Reverend Tom Sherwood speak to Marion about the success and challenges of their Interfaith radio program. February 1989 Program: This program follows the March program on the tape. Only two segments appear: an interview with Gerald Berger, a former Deputy Minister and now president of the Jewish Community Council. Donna speaks with George Liang, president of the Chinese Community about the history of China during the time when Jews were living in Kaifing.
