- The recto shows a color drawing of the city hall of Basel, Switzerland. In front of the city hall are a lot of people, possibly a market. On the verso are an address, on the r., and a handwritten message, on the l. Postcard is being sent in Opatow in Poland. Narrative: Leah Erman was a dressmaker in Opatow, Poland before the war. During World War II, she was forced to live in a ghetto in Sandomierz, Poland with her husband, Saul Erman and her son Erman Meir. In 1943, she and her son were sent to Starachowice labor camp, Poland where her son was working in an ammunition plant since his was a blacksmith. In 1944, the labor camp was liquidated and the prisoners still able to work were sent to Auschwitz where her head was shaved. She was then separated from her son. Leah came to Montreal from Austria. The donor, Erman Meir, went the Palestine after the war and immigrated in Montreal after the war.

- 1 page, text on one side oriented in the center. Narrative: It indicates that Motel Zelcer was registered with the United Nations Relief and Rehabilitation Administration in Zeilsheim from November 10, 1945 until May 12, 1946. Zeilsheim became famous for its camp created by the Allies to hold Displaced Persons and exiles after World War II, and in 1946 it was visited by Zionist leader (later Israeli prime minister) David Ben-Gurion and former American First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt. A small monument in the park behind the city hall is dedicated to the memory of this community.

- Double-panel membership ? card for the Central Zionist department of Poland. Two-sided. On the second page is stapled a b&w identity photograph of a woman, below it are three ink stamps. The card is made to Szoel Erman his wife Laja (Leah) and son Majer (Meir)'s names appear with their birth year on the verso b.c. Narrative: Szoel (Saul) Erman was originally from Opatow (Poland). During World War II, he was sent to Auschwitz death camp (Poland) as a political prisoner and was later killed in Schasenhausen concentration camp (Germany). His wife and son both survived the Holocaust.

Official letter typed on the purple header of the Immigration Branch of the Department of Mines and Resources adressed to Mrs. Janet Weiss concerning her sister Lea (Leah?) Erman's new address. Narrative: Leah Erman was a dressmaker in Opatow (Poland) before the war. During World War II, she was forced to live in a ghetto in Sandomierz (Poland) with her husband, Saul and their son Meir. In 1943, Leah and her son were sent to Starachowice labor camp (Poland). In 1944, the labour camp was liquidated and the prisoners still able to work were sent to Auschwitz (Poland). Upon arrival, Leah was separated from Meir. They both survived the Holocaust and Leah immigrated came to Montreal from Austria.Her son first went to Palestine and later immigrated to Montreal. Saul was killed in Sachsenhausen concentration camp (Germany) in 1945.

- 1 horizontal. page. Typed and hand signed letter from the intergovernmental refugee organisation in Stuttgart to Lea (Leah) Erman and Motel Seltzer. The document has some handwritten notes. It states that Leah Erman must report to Flandera Kaserne for an interview and an examination regarding her immigration to Canada. - Postcard. On recto, top half of card contains an image of two men standing atop a hill, teaching a boy how to plant trees. A woman stands in the background, watching them. Landscape in background. Above image is a Star of David with the word 'Baumspende' (translation: tree donation) to its left and writing in Hebrew to the right. Images of tree branches on left and writing. On bottom half, Hebrew printed form filled in by hand. Issued by the Jewish National Fund (Keren Kayemet LeYisrael). Narrative: The donor, Meir (Gaby) Erman was born in Opatów, Poland. He was imprisoned in concentration camps during the Holocaust; he was transferred from a labour camp in Sandomierz to one in Starachowice, and from there to Auschwitz. In January 1945, he was sent on a death march to Mauthausen, where he was liberated. That same year, he ran the British Blockade and emigrated to Palestine, where he lived on a kibbutz until he was wounded in conflict in 1950. He moved to Canada and settled in Montreal.
