- One page, 2-sided. Folded in half to make a booklet. The front has two rectangles with text inside them. Text is printed and is followed by a line with space for a handwritten response. All text is in Czech, Russian and English. This was a Czechoslovak Repatriation Card belonging to Karel Ehrmann. He was requesting repatriation to Prague from Auschwitz. Narrative: Karel (Charles) Ehrmann is the brother of the donor. Karel Ehrmann was born in Strakonice on 1925-07-06.He was deported from Prague to Theresienstadt ghetto-camp in June 1942. In Theresienstadt he worked as a cook. In December 1943 he was transferred from Theresienstadt to Auschwitz concentration camp where his prisoner number was #170127. There he got a job peeling potatoes in the kitchen because his friend was the girlfriend of a Polish kitchen kapo. In July 1944, he was sent to concentration camp Schwarzheide, a subcamp of Sachsenhausen where he worked in a factory that made gasoline and diesel fuel from lignite coal. From April 14, 1945 to May 5, 1945 he was on a death march toward Varnsdorf, Cz.

- Value of 50 Kronen. On the front, a bearded man, Moses, is holding the Tables of the Law inscribed with the Ten Commandments. The man's hand is placed in front the lower part of the text hidding the 6th commandment ''You Shall Not Kill' . The verso has a rectangular graphic design and a 6-pointed Star of David on bottom left corner. Narrative: The ghetto-camp of Theresienstadt, operational from November 1941 to May 1945, had its own currency. German currency was confiscated upon arrival. Every Reichsmark was exchanged for 10 Theresienstadt Krone.1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50 and 100 krone were in circulation in the camps to keep the illusion of a ''normal life'' since the Jewish money couldn't buy goods.

Narrative: George (Jiri) Ehrman was born in Strakonice (Czech Republic) on March 8, 1920. He was deported from Prague to Theresienstadt ghetto-camp (Czech Republic) in June 1942. In December 1943 he was sent from the Theresienstadt ghetto-camp to Auschwitz concentration camp (Poland) where his prisoner number was #170128. In July 1944, George Ehrman was sent to concentration camp Schwarzheide, a subcamp of Sachsenhausen, where he received this identification prisoner number.George recalls that he was made to build bunkers and repair damages after Allied air raids. From April 4, 1945 to May 5, 1945 George was part of a death march from Schwarzheide camp toward Theresienstadt ghetto-camp. He was with his brother Charles (Karel) during the march. Mr Ehrman believes that from their hometown, only him and his brother Charles (Karel) survived the Holocaust. George Ehrman immigrated to Canada and settled in Montreal.

- Flying Officer George Lyon Gilbert of Montreal, Quebec, was reported missing after air operations over Wilhelmshaven and was presumed dead on October 15, 1944, according to an official report. He enlisted in the air force in July 1942 and obtained his wings at the No. 1 Air Observers School at Malton in December 1943. He sailed for England in April 1944. In England he served with the City of Vancouver No. 405 (R.C.A.F. Pathfinder) Squadron. “Everything is in our favour now. Nothing can stop us and nothing will, until our lads are in Berlin,” he wrote to his mother on September 2, 1944.

- Rectangular base, supported by 2 decorative feet at the front, on both sides, and a 'v' at the back, centre. Attached to the front half of the base, raised on a platform, is a row of 8 candle holders. Attached to the back half of the base is a decorative back-board. The back-board is open in the centre; on either side are lions, looking outwards, holding open a curtain. Both sides are connected with a decorative arch, topped with a crown. Attached to the front of the arch, at the bottom centre, is a protruding arm with an inverted candle-holder attached to the bottom; attached to the top right of the back-board is a thin metal piece with a slit in the centre. At the back of the main base is an additional beveled platform. Attached to the platform is a small peacock statue, with its tail filling in the centre of the arm. The tail is attached loosely to the peacock's backside with a rod connecting the top with the protruding arm on the front.
