- Sergeant Frederick B. Harris of Toronto, Ontario, was officially reported killed in action in France on June 6, 1944. Sergeant Harris was a member of the reserve army and volunteered for active service at the outbreak of war. He was killed while serving with the invasion forces on D-Day.
