OBITUARIES: Telegraph Journal, June 17, 1936 Mrs. A. Fine Dies in Halifax at 54 Passing a Year after Husband, Founder of Business Here Numerous friends and relatives in this city learned with regret of the death of Mrs. A. Fine in Halifax on Tuesday night. Although she had been in failing health since the death of her husband, founder of the Fine Shoe business in Saint John, a year ago, her passing was unexpected. She had been residing recently with a daughter, Mrs. E. Jacobson, Halifax. Other surviving relatives include a sister, Mrs. H. Selick of this city, and a brother, L. Jacobson of Halifax. Formerly Miss Annie Jacobson, Mrs. Fine came to this country from Europe as a girl. She was 51 years of age. The funeral is being held upon arrival of the train from Halifax at 7:20p.m. today and interment will be held in Fernhill Cemetery. Rev. B. Beshkin will officiate, assisted by Rev. A. Babb.
