Legal format page, creased horizontally and vertically, double-side, decorative border around text, Shield of David above two swords at top, eagle on reverse, pages numbered C.B. 7 and 8. Page from a list of Jews who served in the Austro-Hungarian Army. Possibly used to demonstrate to Hungarian authorities that Jews had been ‘good’ Hungarians. Page was found after the war in a big box with other personal papers in the house where the family lived before. Name emphasized by red border is Ungar, Sandor. Narrative: Suzana (Ungar) Kohn was born on 1926/8/2.

Rectangular with finished edges. A pink line borders the piece, with an inner decorative border. The top 2 lines of the text is of the alphabet, with a row of cross-stitching just below, followed by a line of numbers 1-0; the inscriptions are sandwiched between a Greek Key design and 2 other decorative designs. Narrative: The sampler belonged to the donor's mother or aunt. It was placed in the kitchenon a cupboard near a large brass scale. Donor found it when she returned to her house after liberation; her house had been vandalized and the sampler had been thrown in with garbage.
