- The clipping shows the lyrics of a song named '' Das Lied von Buchenwald'' or "the Song of Buchenwald". Narrative: Buchenwald was one of the biggest concentration camps within German's frontiers. It was located in a wooden area five miles northwest of Weimar, Germany. Musical torture was organized by the SS in charge of the camp. The inmates had to perform daily in a mass singing. Thousands of exhausted prisonners had to sing loudly, on key and in unison. Shortly after Fritz Löhner-Beda's arrival at Buchenwald, a contest was organized to find the camp's offical song. ''Buchenwaldlied'' was the winning song and it was liked by guards and be the inmates as well. The song is now a symbol of courage and is still known today.
