- OBITUARIES: Telegraph Journal, November 4, 1940, Page 10 Abraham Aranoff Dies In Hospital The death of Abraham Aranoff, well-known resident of the North End, occurred yesterday morning at the General Hospital after a brief illness. A son of Mrs. Lena and the late David Aranoff, he was born in Saint John and had resided here all his life. He was a member of the Hebrew Congregation of the Shaarei Zedek Synagogue. He was also a member of the Saint John branch of the New Brunswick Fish and Game Protective Association. Besides his mother, he is survived by four brothers, Morris Aranoff, New York, and Solomon, Harry and Louis, all of this city. The funeral was held yesterday afternoon from Chamberlain’s Funeral Home, 21 Paradise Row, at 3 p.m. Service was conducted by Rabbi M. Beshkin, assisted by Rev. A. Babb. Interment was made in the Hebrew plot in Fernhill Cemetery. Gravestone reference code(s): JM 998.61.88. Additional notes: peddler
