OBITUARIES: Evening Times Globe, August 20, 1983, Page 12 microfilm # 287 M. J. Brym – Montreal The death of M. J. Brym of Montreal and formerly of 109 Germain Street, Saint John, husband of the late Sarah (Goldberg) Brym, occurred on Thursday after a brief illness at the Jewish General Hospital in Montreal. Born in Poland, he was son of the late Haim and Bylah (Popial) Shalom Brym. He lived most of his life in Saint John. He was in the clothing manufacturing industry. He was a member of the Congregation Sharrei Zedek and was very active in Synagogue affairs. He is survived by two cousins, nieces and nephews. The body is resting at Castle Funeral Home (Hillsley), 91 Leinster Street from where the funeral will be held Sunday with service at 10 am. Interment in the Shaarei Zedek Cemetery. OBITUARIES: Telegraph Journal, March 10, 2006 Fransblow, William - William Fransblow of Fredericton, formerly of Bathurst, passed away in his 95th year on Thursday, March 9, 2006. Son of the late Jacob and the late Rebecca Fransblow. Dearest bother of Max (Saint John) and Kay Cohen (Moncton). Predeceased by siblings, Edward, Louis, Hyman, Harry, Joseph and Bernetta Guss. He will be sadly missed by his sister-in-law Sylvia Fransblow, many nieces and nephews, and numerous great nieces and nephews. Funeral service from Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, N.B. on Sunday, March 12 at 2:00 p.m. Burial at Shaarei Zedek Cemetery. Private Max Lampert of Toronto, Ontario, was killed in action on July 18, 1943. Chaplain S.B. East, chaplain with the 48th Highlanders, wrote to Private Lampert’s mother: “I shall never forget your son or the way he died... Your son was a courageous man and his courage made possible the capture of Valguernera, a town in the valley below, that afternoon....” There is a Star of David on his gravestone.
