OBITUARIES: Saint John Times Globe, August 11, 2000 At the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John, N.B., on August 9, 2000 in her 88th year, after a short courageous battle with a difficult illness. Beloved wife of the late Robert I. (Bobby) Green and mother of three loving daughters, Michelle (Arnold) Echenberg, and Phyllis (Morad) Kimia, both of Montreal, Quebec, and Miriam (Warren) Cohen of Fredericton, N.B., caring grandmother of Alan Echenberg, Rachel Echenberg, Dyan Kimia, Rena Kimia, Robert Cohen, and Marcie Cohen, and proud great grandmother of her three great grandchildren. Bella was predeceased by her parents, Sarah and Michael Haitow, two sisters, Bessie Levine Goldfarb and Mary Lewis and a brother Max Haitow. Her passing will leave a huge void in the lives of family and friends. Funeral service will be held on Friday, August 11, 2000 at 1 p.m. from Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Homes, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, N.B., (506-634-7424). Interment in the Shaarei Zedek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate remembrances to the Saint John Jewish Historical Museum or the New Brunswick Lung Association. Shiva will be held at 55 Magazine Street (Fort Howe Apts., Apt # 110). The pallbearers were Alan Echenberg, Robert Cohen, Cary Fishko, and Richard Pencer. The honorary pallbearers were Dyan Kimia, Marcie Cohen, and Rachel Echenberg.
