- OBITUARIES: Telegraph Journal, November 5, 1988 Jennie Jacobson of 55 Magazine Street, widow of Myer Jacobson, died Friday at her residence. Born in Saint John, she was a daughter of the late Lazer and Chia (Jacobson) Bloom. She was a member of the Congregation Shaarei Zedek, a member of the Sisterhood and a member of the Hadassah-WIZO Organization and she was a member of the Westfield Golf Country Club. She is survived by one daughter, Gloria, Mrs. Stephen Pink, of Halifax, two brothers, Joseph Bloom of Detroit, Bernard Bloom of Saint John; one sister, Betty Fineberg of Halifax, two grandchildren, Michael and Cindy, both of Toronto. The body is resting at the Castle Funeral Home (Hillsley), 91 Leinster Street, from where the funeral will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in the Shaarei Zedek Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Hadassah-WIZO by phoning Mrs. A. Guss at 652-3491 or to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of the donor’s choice.
