Spine has red lettering. Inside cover pages are beige with darker warp and weft pattern. Diary format with a b&w photograph of the author is located opposite the title page. 2 return address stamps on the publishing information page, with handwritten inscription.

- Over 350 pages (exact number unknown). Hardcover, cardboard bound. Cover is textured black, with the title printed in bright red, with green around the edges, at the centre. 2 vertical lines (1 thick, 1 thin) are at the right side of the cover. The spine is dark red cardboard, with overlaps onto the cover. The title is gilded on the spine, along with a sunburst and the roman numeral 1; there is a decorative gilded boarder at the top and bottom of the spine. The back cover is the same as the front, but with no title. There is a sticker on the inside cover (see inscriptions). The first page is a colour illustration of a city scene and a mermaid holding a sword and shield. The interior pages are beige, consisting of text, b&w photos, musical scores and b&w illustrations. The appendix pages are glossy with more text, b&w photos and illustrations.
