The article contains information about the 7th Army which liberated Dachau concentration camp. Narrative: Albert Joseph Vannelli held the rank of Private first class during the war. This rank is held by junior enlisted persons. He was born is 1922 in Springfield, Massachusetts. He worked for the layout of The Springfield Newspaper, now named The Republican.
