At the top of the column is another metal sphere, with a bird (sparrow ?) at the very top of the structure, which is offset to the right. At each side of the metal sphere (below the bird) are ornate arms: filigree shaped with openworked details and leaves coming out of the bottom centre. At the end of each arm is a tulip shaped candle holder, attached to a column and round base. The top of the candle holder has a raised rim in the center with high relief petal-like details around the circumference. The holders screw onto the arms.

Notes
Burgundy velour embroidered with gold. Traditional marriage dress made to measure for the donor, ordered by her mother Mazal (Bensabat) Wahnoun. This Keswa El Kbira or grand costume, is a traditional festive dress of Moroccan Jewish women, worn by brides and at other celebrations. It is probably based on medieval Spanish Jewish costume, with its origins usually traced to the 15th century Spanish vertugada. The front shirt is 100 years older (1830) than the dress (1930) and was acquired for the marriage. 3 pink ruffles are part of the dress but are not on display. They are pleated, tulle-type fabric. Two pieces are flat, with different lengths (long: .02-4; short: .02-6). The third has been sewn into a circle (.02-5). Narrative: This dress has been worn by a large number of brides in Morocco and Canada.
