- News Story: Received a phone call at 10 am, Wed. (15 April 1936), left immediately by car, leaving no notice where he was going. On Sat. (18 April), Bob Silver, family friend, on his way to N. Y., saw Spunt's car, parked at roadside near St. Jean. He called Montreal family, and Spunt's friend (Mr. Newman), and his lawyer (Harry Blansky), and Policemen drove to the scene, where a search discovered Spunt's corpse by the river. Inquest ordered. Other relative; Mr. Cohen (father in law) Funeral from home, this day (Monday 20 April 1936).
