Beige pre-printed postcard handwritten in blue ink. One side is inscribed with the address of the receiver (Mrs Olga Schwarz in Zagreb) and 3 postal ink stamps. One circular black ink stamp shows the date 1942-09-20. The other side contains a short message and a date. Narrative: This postcard was sent by Ivan V. Schwarz to his sister-in-law and brother while he was interned at the Jasenovac concentration camp. "Dragan", whom Ivan is referring to in this letter is his nephew, Emile Svarc, the donor of this item. Ivan Schwarz was interned in the camp from August 31, 1941 to April 22, 1945 when the camp was liquidated and all the remaining prisoners, including Ivan, were killed. Ivan Schwarz was born in 1898 and was originally from Koprivnica.
