Verso top left, handwriting of Pali Weinberger. Sender's address at bottom left "Weinberger Miklós". Right side addressed to "Weinberger Gustáv / 108/101. msz. / Borgóprund. / Besztercze Naszód m". At centre left, illegible signature of controller in red colour pencil. Narrative: Donor is Elaine Kalman Naves, daughter of Gustav and Anikó Weinberger. The postcard was sent from Miklos Weinberger to Gustav Weinberger. The correspondence was under supervision of a controller. This collection of correspondence was used as part of the research for the following book: Kalman Naves, Elaine. Journey to Vaja: Reconstructing the World of a Hungarian-Jewish Family. Verso, right side addressed to "Weinberger Gustav / 101/108 msz. / Borgóprund [Bihar has been crossed out in ink]". At top right, signature of controller in red colour pencil. Narrative: Donor is Elaine Kalman Naves, daughter of Gustav and Anikó Weinberger. The postcard is from the Weinberger family to Gustav Weinberger in the handwriting of Ilona (1881-1944), Pali (1908-1945) and Mancika Mandula Weinberger (1910-1944) -- the first wife of Gustav Weinberger. All but Gustav were killed in Auschwitz in 1944. The correspondence was under supervision by Captain Soós and contains updates on the family's living conditions at Kisvarda ghetto. This collection of correspondence was used as part of the research for the following book: Kalman Naves, Elaine. Journey to Vaja: Reconstructing the World of a Hungarian-Jewish Family.
