OBITUARIES: Telegraph Journal, January 29, 2013 Wolfe, Max Morrison – It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of Max Morrison (Mordecai ben Eliyahu) Wolfe, husband of the late of Willi Evans Wolfe, of St. Andrews New Brunswick. Max passed away peacefully on Friday January 25, 2013 at the Charlotte County Hospital, in St. Stephen New Brunswick. Born June 27, 1934 in Glasgow Scotland, Max was the middle of three children born to pre-war Europe. Wanting to be Prime Minister of Britain, Max went into law but eventually followed his passion, the mountains, to Calgary Alberta, where he married and became father to three children. It was here that he met Willi Evans whom he married and a few years later relocated to New Brunswick to "live off the land". Realizing he did not know much about farming he resumed his legal practice, kept a cow or two and started writing for the local newspaper. He eventually moved to St. Andrews so he could golf, walk his dogs and enjoy life. Max is survived by his children, Rebecca, Marius and Jason, and his grandchildren: Coen and Keira. He was predeceased by his parents, Ellis and Dinah (Morrison) Wolfe and brothers, Lawrence and Walter. The Funeral Service will be held at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at 2:00 pm. Interment will take place in Shaari Zedek Cemetery. For those who wish remembrances to the Fundy Community Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
