- This is a letter from Dorf Klara (34 years old, born in Czernowitz Romania, Sol Klara (husband) and Fauzia Klara (Cousin) to her niece (2 1/2 years old). In this letter Dorf Klara explains to her young niece what happened to her parents who died a couple of days after they gave their daughter into an orphanage and why they did it. Nice handwriting.

- Shallow, rectangular tin with engravings on the top, front and bottom sides. The top has a textured border with a scroll going diagonally across the middle and designs at the top left and bottom right corners. The front side has a diamond in the middle, with 3 horizontal lines on each side. On the bottom, there is a star in between 2 lines of text (see inscription). Tool striations are found outside and inside, with additional tool marks on the inside. The bottom compartment has a slight indent along the edge, so that the top sits flush when closed. Narrative: Made in labour camp in Siberia. Originally belonged to Lajos Schwartz in Karinszky, Kirovszky, Siberia Lager 101. Given to him on 24th birthday, May 1, 1943.

On the t.r. is a stamp depicting the portrait of a woman wearing a white cap and a pearl necklace. The postcard was sent to Olga Rabinovitz Bilich when she was in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Narrative: Olga Rabinovitz Bilich was born in Liubar in 1924. She went to Odessa in June 1941, where she cared for wounded soldiers. She was evacuated to Almaty, Kazakhstan, and returned to Odessa after the war. She went back to Liubar in 1944, when it was liberated. She eventually settled in Kiev, teaching literature and languages.
