Handwriting at top right corner, dated "Vaja. 945 VIII/27". Verso, typed text continues, dated "Vaja,1945 augusztus 27." Signed at left centre by district notary. Circular stamp at centre. Narrative: Donor is Elaine Kalman Naves, daughter of Gusztáv and Anikó Weinberger. Gusztáv returned from the front to learn that 34 members of his extended family, including his wife and small daughter Évike, had been deported to Auschwitz. Only one cousin returned. He remarried Anikó Schwartz and they had two daughters, Elaine and Judith. This collection of correspondence was used as part of the research for the following book: Kalman Naves, Elaine. - 1 page, double-sided vertical paper, folded horizontally and vertically. Recto in handwriting of Weinberger family, first Ilona, then Kalman who dated at the bottom left "944.III/12-eu.". At very bottom in light ink is Gustav's handwritten notes for an answer. Verso in handwriting of Mancika Mandula Weinberger addressed to "Gustavikam". Gustav's note at the bottom of the page says "Parketta!" Envelope, recto top right contains one blue 20 forint fiscal stamp and one brown 10 forint fiscal stamp and is addressed in Mancika's handwriting to "Weinberger Gustav / 108/101 msz." in Maroshéviz, Maros-Torda county. At upper left in blue ink is the signature of Captain Soós. Card contains correspondence between the Weinberger family and Gustav Weinberger, contains family updates and well-wishes. Narrative: Donor is Elaine Kalman Naves, daughter of Gustav and Anikó Weinberger. The letter is in the handwriting of the Weinberger family addressed to Gustav. Kalman (1880-1944), Mancika (1910-1944) -- the first wife of Gustav Weinberger, Pal (1908-1945) and Ilona Weinberger (1881-1944). All but Gustav were killed in Auschwitz in 1944. The correspondence was under supervision by Captain Soós. This collection of correspondence was used as part of the research for the following book: Kalman Naves, Elaine.
