- OBITUARIES: Evening Times Globe, April 20, 1978, Page 2 The death of Mrs. Frances Ruth Isaacs of 21 Orange Street, wife of Lawrence C. Isaacs, occurred Wednesday at the Saint John General Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Yarmouth, N.S., she was a daughter of the late Benjamin and Emma (Margolian) Shane. She had been a resident of Saint John for 40 years. She was a member of the Congregation Shaarei Zedek, the Sisterhood and the Hadassah-Wizo Organization. She is survived by her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Leslie Heather Ram of Israel; one brother, Dr. S. J. Shane of Toronto; one sister, Miss Helen Ruby Shane of Saint John, two grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. The body is resting at the Castle Funeral Home (Hillsley), 91 Leinster St. from where the funeral will be held today with service at 4 p.m. Interment will be in the Shaarei Zedek Cemetery. Donations to Hadassah-Wizo will be appreciated by the family. Gravestone reference code(s): JM 998.61.519. Memorial plaque in synagogue: Abraham E. Smith - C1.
