- Fond consists of: A Soviet Union (Russian) Passport: The passport is copied out in three languages, Russian, Unknown (a Slavic language) and French. Includes a photograph and biographical information - 1927; A certificate made out to "Norma Greenberg" from the Imperial Order Daughters of the Empire on the occasion of Niome becoming a naturalized Canadian citizen - 1932; A photograph of Norma and an Unknown woman - 1978; A letter to Norma which was sent along with her Certificate of Naturalization (unscanned) - 1932; A letter from the Department of Immigration and Colonization to Norma's sister Cayla (here written as Kala Cardash) notifying her that her sister's application for admission into Canada was approved. Signed by J. S. Fraser as well as S. B. Haltrecht of the Jewish Immigrant Aid Scoiety out of Montreal (unscanned) - 1926; An Immigration Identification Card that Norma was given before departure from Russia. The carrier is instructed to present the card to the Examining Officer at the port of arrival. The card is issued to "Chomka Greenberg". It gives the name of the ship she came across in as the "Montnairn". There is no date on the card but should be 1927 as that is the year she came to Canada; A US border crossing identification card - 1944; A St. John Ambulance Association First Aid certificate made out to "Niome Greenberg" (unscanned) - 1940; A Declaration of Non-Immigrant Alien form. A form the Norma had to fill out when she wanted to visit her Uncle Ershel Grossman in New York City for 3 to 4 months - November 14, 1928; A strip of black and white photos of Niome in a photo booth; A sepia photograph of Niome standing with an Unknown gentleman.

- History / Biographical
- Niome Greenberg (also known as Norma Greenberg, Chomka Grinberg, Khomka Grinberg) was born on March 14 or 15, 1906 in the city of Kamenez (Kamenatz), Podolsky in Soviet Russia. She came to Ottawa in 1926 or 1927 after she was sponsored by her sister, Cayla Cardash (Cayla Greenberg - also seen as Kayla, Kala). She recieved her official citizenship in 1932. She lived at 226 Friel Street and 495 St. Patrick Street. In 1928 she listed her occupation on a US Temporary Visitor form as a fruit dealer. It is possible that she eventually moved to Chicago and started a family. Cayla (b. 1896, d. May 15, 1972) was married to Littman Cardash. They had four children together; Bess (m. Phillip S. Lewis of Washington D.C.), Rabbi Yehuda Cardash, Lillian (Lily - of Washington, D.C.) and Moses (Moe) Cardash.

- Notes
- The back of the photo states that the woman on the left is "Naomi". Norma seems to have gone by a few different names and since this photo was donated with all of her other documents it is assumed that Naomi is also Norma / Niome. The woman labelled also looks like the woman in Niome's passport photos.
