- Alexander Mogilevsky is the publisher of "Info", a Montreal Russian-language newspaper which is not specifically Jewish but carries much Jewish content. It started in 1995. A.M. Also writes under the pseudonym "A. Almok". He is a friend of publisher Mark Groysberg. His petition was composed as a reaction to his perception that Y. Rabkin's book is anti-Israel and it is signed by many Russian Jews.

- Tatiana Jour is a Russian-speaking archivist born in Riga, trained in Moscow, and living in Montreal for the past eight years. For this project, she collected archival material and scanned items from the private collections of recent Jewish immigrants from Russia and the countries of the former Soviet Union. The project has received funding from Jewish Community Foundation of Montreal. Donors to the project include poets and writers, scientists, historians, publishers, musicians, graphic artists, Holocaust survivors. war veterans, and athletes. Most have immigrated here since 1991.

- The programs were aimed at Russian Jewish immigrants and were held in Russian in order to maintain their Russian heritage and language. Photos also show the parties held for each Jewish holiday and occasion. The classes included dance, gymnastics, art and Russian language. For a while, the Y Russian program and its newsletter Courier received funding from the Ministry of Immigration, and this shows in the enhanced newsletter of that period

- The collection was donated by Anna RUBALSKY on June 12, 2007. Anna Rubalsky is from Kiev. She came to Canada in 1979 and began working for the Snowdon YM-YWHA in 1983, where she remained until her retirement in 2004. She passed away in June 2009.

- Efim Galperin was born 1934 in Kharkov, Ukraine, and moved to Chelyabinsk during the war, where his father, Aharon, was the head of a diesel motor factory. Twenty years later, Efim Galperin came to Moscow, where he was director of a laboratory of academic sciences. In 1974, he came to Montreal at the invitation of McGill University and Concordia University's department of mathematics. He has since taught at Université de Montréal and the Université du Québec à Montréal as well. He is now with mathematics faculty of the University du Quebec à Montréal. The Rabin portrait is unfinished as first the artist was upset over the death of the subject, and later found himself disagreeing with Rabin's political legacy.

- Born in the Polish Ukraine of Russian and German parents, artist and wood sculptor Jerzy Zawistowski studied in Kiev, St. Petersburg, Jerusalem and Paris. He trained in music and dance (classical ballet), and his creations are inspired by these. He came to Montreal in 1993. The pseudonym "Tivo" comes from his grandmother Stephanie, which he abbreviated as a child to "Tiva"

- Leonid Pulniy is an accomplished artist, photographer and graphic designer. He was born in Kharkov in the Ukraine in 1940 and immigrated to Montreal in 1995. Despite the obstacle of a speech handicap caused by an exploded bomb when he was a child during the war, he worked at the Institute for Design in Kharkov after doing his studies there and has been featured in local and international exhibits of his photographs and art work
