Governor of the Province of Quebec (centre) and Alan Judah Hart, fifth generation descendant of Aaron Hart, display illuminated copy of the 'Act of Emanicpation' which granted full civil and political freedom to the Jews in Canada. Looking on is S.D. Cohen, Chairman of Public Relations, Eastern Region, and of the French speaking luncheon at which the Lt. Governor and Mr. Hart were guests. Friday, October 30th, 1959 - 12th Plenary Session, Canadian Jewish Congress."

Mrs. A. Hart, born Eva Vineberg. She married in 1902, Mr. Alan Judah Hart. They had five children : Edward Henry, Gordon David, Lawrence, Ezra, Alma Ruth and Vera Esther.
